Our Pricing and Payment Policy
In our efforts to bring our clients the best value possible for every cent they spend through our site we use Paypal as our payment processor and by using them we are able to save money ourselves and pass that saving back to our customers and friends.
Paypal is a very trusted pay processor that has been taking payments from South African buyers (of various products and services) on-line for more than a decade now but up until recently South African based sellers have not been able to use Paypal’s processing services, that was until recently! Over the last few months Paypal opened it’s doors to SA merchants and although they deal mainly in their own currency (US dollars and other major currencies) in taking payments we felt this drawback is more than compensated for with all the other benefits they offer and so we embraced their service.
Although they debit you in a dollar amount your South African buyer is able to pay seamlessly with their credit card, debit card or even make EFT payments from their bank account to make their purchases and their bank or card statements will reflect their payment in RSA Rands so this has very little effect on your shopping experience.
From you the buyers point of view using Paypal means a great deal in that they offer you a very safe buying environment with the added benefit that if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase you have someone to turn too. Over and above this their transaction costs are very low and we pass that saving back to you, but more importantly they pay their merchants in US dollars to and we in turn can purchase directly from our suppliers without the need to buy US dollars ourselves. Again we pass this savings back to you and thus we are able to offer savings of over 25% to 50% on similar products sold through ‘brick and mortar’ retailers.
